FOREST ESSENTIALS HAND POUNDED ORGANIC FRUIT FACIAL SCRUB

Well this must be my nth scrub which i have bought.I have used scrubs from Everyuth, St Ives, Lotus, VLCC but nothing satisfied my thirst for scrubs. So since FE is my favorite brand i had to purchase one from their range also. So, when Jabong was offering 40 % discount on all FE products i had purchased this Scrub.

Price:

1450 but guess what i got it at 40 % discount .I had ordered it online through jabong.com.

What Forest Essential has to say about this:

This nourishing face scrub, hand-pounded to the right consistency, blends fresh organically grown Dates and Peaches which are excellent antioxidants and improve elasticity. Apricot Kernel oil nourishes, softens and improves skin elasticity. Pure Raw Honey’s natural antioxidants protect the skin from sun damage, replenish skin moisture, absorb impurities from the skin pores, making it an ideal cleansing agent. Finely milled oil-rich walnut provides deep cleansing and brightens the complexion by gently removing dead cells and impurities, to gently exfoliates, revealing a beautifully polished and glowing complexion. Turmeric is a strong anti-oxidant that prevents ageing of the skin. It evens out skin tone and colour, and gives the skin a healthy glow. Pure Rosewater tones, diminishes fine lines and rehydrates the skin while Bael smoothes and cools the skin. Neem as a purifier is healing, cooling and anti septic. With an intensive conditioning action and packed with antioxidants, this scrub is the ultimate food for the skin.

Making of the Product:

This unique old Ayurvedic formulation uses a variety of fruits including Dates, Peaches & Apricots. These are left whole with wild Turmeric roots & Neem leaves & buried just below the surface of the ground in earthenware pots & covered with leaves that are changed from time to time. In about a month's time this fruit pulp ferments along with the roots and leaves, and becomes a rich mass of live organic matter with natural glycolic acid (Fruit Acid). This is then taken out, hand pounded & mixed with organic Honey, Apricot Kernel oil & finally with Sweet Almond oil to produce a rich cleansing and nutritive food for the skin.

How to use:
Use a small amount on damp skin and rub gently to cleanse. Rise well.
USP:
Made with organically grown fermented fruit pulp • No artificial color and fragrances • 100% natural

How i use it:
I use it whenever i have to attend some party or Wedding function because its a "LUXURY BRAND" remember. This cost me a bomb as compared to other scrubs available in market.I take a very tiny winy amount of scrub and add a drop or two of water to it and start rubbing on my face ensuring that i don't put much pressure on my face and keep rubbing till the time the entire scrub is spread on my face. I mainly focus on my nose in order to remove black heads  .I normally keep it for 60-120 seconds and then rinse it but what i hate about this scrub is its smell, It smells awful and just look at it, doesn't It reminds you of chawanprash.

YAY:

  • Instantly brightens up the face.
  • With regular usage you will see the results.
  • No harsh granules , have soft granules which fade way once you start rubbing your face.
  • Easy availability .
  • Travel friendly.
  • Luxury Packing.
  • No chemicals.
  • It doesn't irritate my skin.I actually love it.

NAY:

  • It smells bad .
  • It is costliest scrub you will ever use.
  • It is thick. So you need water to even it out.

PVB Recommendation:
But whatever the cons i have listed out here should not alter your mind about purchasing this scrub. If you can afford it you should certainly buy it.This is one of the best scrubs i have used and will continue purchasing it till them time i come across something better or it is discontinued.
