FOREST ESSENTIALS NARANGI AND NAGKESAR FACIAL UBTAN REVIEW-FOR OILY/COMBINATION SKIN

Last time I had reviewed Forest Essentials Tejasvi ubtan which was meant for Dry skin beauties and this time I have something for sensitive/oily skin beauties:-Forest Essentials Narangi and Nagkesar Facial Ubtan.

Whenever I visit FE, I don’t know why I feel so relaxed. The incense of store just makes me go nuts and I always pick up something o other from their store. I bought this Ubtan for my sister who has oily /sensitive skin unlike mine. I picked up this ubtan from Select City Walk, Saket while I was there to visit Bobbi Brown Store to pick up their so called Best seller Gel eyeliner. Review coming soon. Let’s come to the Ubtan’s Review now. First tell me,

Do you like oranges?

Do you like smell of oranges at least?

Yes or no whatever it is .This is what it smells like. The moment you open the lid of the jar you will get strong citrus smell.Narangi means orange in Hindi so it had to smell like that. There is a pictorial representation of an orange tree on the outer cover as well as on the jar also.

PRODUCT: FOREST ESSENTIALS NARANGI AND NAGKESAR FACIAL UBTAN

PRICE: 695 INR for 60 Gms.

PLACE: You can locate store from HERE

PACKAGING: Nothing great but yes the color is nice. It is pastel green in color. Its top lid is golden in color and an inner lid is white in color which protects it from spilling while opening the jar.

INGREDIENTS:

WHAT FE CLAIMS:-

Ubtans, made from finely ground herb, flower and root powders which are sundried and ground by hand, is used as cleansing scrubs or as face packs for deeper exfoliation.

They are made into pastes by adding a small amount of the appropriate liquid, usually rosewater, milk or yoghurt, until the mixture achieves a smooth and creamy consistency.

They contain Neem leaves which are antiseptic and purifying for the skin.

Finely ground Narangi Peel helps to remove tan and brighten the skin tone.

Marigold or Calendula has a high content of flavonoids that act as anti-oxidants in the body.

Mulethi contains several antioxidant compounds which instantly rejuvenate and revitalize dry dehydrated and mature skin.

Nagkesar has skin retexturising, toning and firming properties.

Bala smoothes rough skin texture.

Khas is antiseptic, detoxifying and cooling.

Vidarikand increases the moisture level of skin and helps to maintain natural hydration.

Ashwagandha stimulates the immune system and has anti-ageing, anti-oxidant properties in ancient Ayurvedic texts.

Durva is a very effective complexion enhancer. Brahmi stimulates cell regeneration. Anantmool is very effective for acne and pigmentation; it evens skin tone and smoothes texture. Camphor is purifying, cooling and clarifying.

Product Benefits: Forest Essentials Narangi and Nagkesar is a powerful exfoliating treatment that stimulates the underlying tissues of the skin. By its revitalizing, refreshing & refining actions, this 'Ubtan' helps in the natural glow of the complexion. It protects the skin from Acne and Blemishes. Its regular usage prevents the occurrence of premature fine lines and firms and tones the skin.

How to use: Take half teaspoon and mix with yoghurt or rosewater to make a creamy paste. Wash face. Rinse well.

USP: 100% pure and organically grown natural herbs •   Made with traditional method of grinding

I totally ended up interviewing my sister for this. My sister’s take on this product:-

Me: So you applied this on your face? How did you feel?

Sis: It is a very nice ubtan.Oh gosh!!! Am I not supposed to eat it? It smells like oranges.A very fruity kind of smell.

Me: Of course silly. How did you apply it?

Sis: I took 2 spatulas of ubtan (she was feeling jealous because she did not get any spatula with this ubtan, so I gave her mine to use. you can see spatula here) then I mixed this ubtan with rose water.

My Favorite Spatula

Applied this paste on all over my face.

Kept it for 20 minutes.

Scrubbed nicely and then I washed it off.

Tadaaaa here I am...

Me:OMG!!1 you are glowing...

Sis: Yup.

Me: what difference did you notice in your face?

Sis: I am glowing. My skin has become soft. All my oil has been soaked up and am loving it.

So this ubtan could be used as scrub also. It has very very fine granules which you can easily rub on your face without exaggerating the process of scrubbing. Granules are very small and not harsh at all.

She always applies this ubtan early morning but on alternate days. But the glow doesn’t remain for longer period.

YAY

  • Gives a nice glow to your face.

  • Controls oil and greasiness to an extent.

  • You need not buy scrub separately. It acts as a scrub also.

  • Fragrance is good.

  • Ingredients mentioned are good for skin.

  • Its ayurvedic and not tested on animals.

  • Gives soft and supple skin.

  • Since she had no acne on her face, so can’t say much about that but yes it was able to control oil on her face so probably it will help you with acne also.

NAY

  • Price could be an issue for some, but trust me it will last you for longer.

  • I think One need not pay 695 for an oil controlling ubtan. One can prepare a paste of Orange powder (easily available)+rosewater +some dried neem leaves at home. Apply this pack on your face and it will give you required glow and freedom from oiliness.

PVB RECOMMENDATION

Skip it if you do not want to shell out 695 INR.It’s a product from a luxury brand and cannot be used daily. But if you are really tired up using things on your face for acne, tanning and pigmentation you may like to give this a try. Otherwise, nothing special about it which a simple home made face pack cannot take care of.

RATING: 3/5

By the way i could not help myself by sharing this super cute doll which i bought from a gift shop next to my home.Isn't this cute?
